Lake Geneva Summer Mahjong 2025

Lake Geneva is a mahjong destination! Vacation towns are embracing the game of mahjong and Lake Geneva is no exception.

Lots of mahjong enthusiasts

Even with two busy kids and other lake hobbies, I was able to play and teach at least twice a week this summer. There was always someone that wanted to learn or host a game and I loved meeting new players.

Players from all over

With so many snowbirds that spent the winters playing in the South, it was fun to connect.

Although the game is the same, Texas players play with blanks, Naples players are extremely fast, South Carolina players have the prettiest tiles and the Palm Springs mahjong players like the Marvelous Mah Jongg cards.

Over the summer I played with so many people that spend the winters somewhere else, yet we connected back at the table in Lake Geneva.

Highlights from Lake Geneva Summer Mahjong

The highlights included a mahjong teacher luncheon, open play and lessons to benefit Water Safety Patrol and two fundraisers for The Forbeck Foundation. It was a successful summer of philanthropy and connection at Geneva Lake!
